Stephen Quinn

The Asian region lost its ability to laugh 60 years ago but is regaining its sense of humour, writer Nury Vittachi says in a new research study.
Vittachi is researching humour at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where he teaches story structure and character development to digital media students.
He is about to launch his latest book, The Curious Diary of Mr Jam (Blacksmith Books), which records a year of the writer's discoveries about humour in Asia.
