Could hit musical Hamilton be coming to Hong Kong in 2027?

Global theatre producer Crossroads Live UK has announced a worldwide recruitment drive for wigs, lighting and automation roles ahead of an upcoming multi-year world tour of the hit musical Hamilton.

According to Crossroads Live’s website, the production “will visit a multitude of territories, starting in Asia in late 2026”, with salaries for the roles to be “discussed upon offer”.

Meanwhile, recent social media posts appeared to show screenshots of a Hamilton website listing performance dates in Asia, including at the yet-to-open WestK Performing Arts Centre in Hong Kong’s West Kowloon Cultural District for November and December 2027.
The venue, slated to open next to M+ in 2027, will serve as a performance space for dance, theatre and multidisciplinary productions. It will feature three theatres of varying sizes, a 148-seat hall and a nearly 5,000-square-metre (54,000 sq ft) dance house complete with rehearsal studios and a physiotherapy room. The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority announced on September 21 that the Hong Kong Ballet will be its first resident company.
