1894 Hong Kong Plague – a Musical

The grim history of the plague that swept through parts of China and Asia is brought to life in HKRep’s musical based on one of the darkest moments of our past. Using real historical events, the narrative delves into the terror that gripped the residents of Tai Ping Shan Street, at the time the epicentre of a plague outbreak, and their daily means for survival.
