Duo to add sizzle to electronic music in Asia
A larger-than-life duo see launch of web magazine as key to spreading electronic music in Asia, writes Jason Gagliardi

Dave Milligan and Chris Atherton might just be the tallest working men in Asian show business. "Six foot three [191cm]," says the latter, almost embarrassed, sporting the shy, apologetic smile of a chap who can't quite believe his good fortune.
"Six five," Milligan booms confidently. His grin brooks no doubt, a Cheshire-Cat-who-got-the-cream high-beam gleam from behind a perfectly barbered, doubtless -approved beard.
Together, they are SixSix Asia, the Bangkok-based but regional electronic music and DJ promotion juggernaut, named for Thailand's international dialling code. The stature of both men looks set to grow, along with their workload, after recently announcing themselves as the proud new owners and publishers of the soon-to-launch .
The first Asian edition of the world's premier DJ and electronic music magazine will be available as an online publication only - at least for the foreseeable future.
"We looked at the numbers from every angle, but to launch into print across all the Asian markets that we are covering, which is basically everywhere apart from China, Japan, North and South Korea, and Cambodia, just didn't make sense," Milligan says.
"I love . I've been reading it since I was 13 and never missed an issue. A printed magazine for Asia would have been beautiful, but also financial suicide.
