This weekend a host of Hong Kong events cater to both adventurous spirits and drained workers searching for renewal.
There’s a vintage revival complete with craft workshops and a car parade, an avant-garde tea club infusing cocktails with its heritage brews, and a heartwarming stage performance to check out. If stillness is what you seek, a slow flow and sound session is specifically designed for physical and mental release.

This Friday marks the start of another section of the ongoing Re-Love Festival at The Mills in Tsuen Wan. The focus, “Vintage Revival”, celebrates vintage finds and inspires love for styles that never go out of fashion.
The event will feature a vintage car parade as well as a curated vintage market, which includes homeware from across the globe, antiques and assorted finds. The Old But Gold Second-hand Market will also set up shop, with finds including jewellery, clothing and footwear.
If you are looking to extend the lifespan of your possessions, you can bring them to the fashion clinic, or get a consultation on leather restoration for your furniture.
The market also has a crafty element. At the embroidery studio, guests can bring clothing or fabric and add a new spin, with an instructor available to help if necessary. If you would like to experiment with beading, Little Dream Embroidery is offering a French beaded embroidery workshop to make one-of-a-kind pins and rings.

2. Slow Flow and Sound

If you are looking for mental and physical release this weekend, The Hidden Jane is offering a combined slow flow and sound bathing experience (gong bath) to ease muscle stiffness and restore energy. It is recommended for those who have a hard time going straight to stillness, and may need some physical relaxation at the start of their mindfulness practice.
The session has three phases. First comes the slow flow and somatic unwinding, where guests are led through light stretching designed to release tension in the body. Next comes a deep gong bath immersion, where guests will relax in stillness while listening to the frequencies of gongs. The sounds are designed to relax both your fascia and your nervous system. The third stage is a period of peace and quiet, where your body can adjust to the experience.
The event is at The Hidden Jane’s Mong Kok branch, and tickets cost HK$320 (US$41). Guests are advised to arrive 15 minutes early. To learn more about the event, click here.

This weekend, Henderson Land is putting on a family dance musical called Panda-rama as part of the International Arts Carnival 2026. The show is performed by young performers from the HKDance Children and Youth Troupes as well as professional dancers.
The musical follows a girl named Meng Meng, who is struggling to decide between pursuing a career in music and continuing her father’s shelter for neglected animals. She forms a deep connection with the animals in the shelter, and must decide what matters most. It is a heartwarming tale for children and adults alike.
The show dates are Saturday, August 15, at 3pm and 7.45pm, and Sunday, August 16, at 3pm at the Grand Theatre at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. To learn more about the event, click here.

4. Luk Yu Tea Club

Luk Yu Tea House, a historic establishment in Hong Kong, is now presenting the Luk Yu Tea Club, a speakeasy that combines its long history of tea with cocktails. This new offering is open on Fridays and Saturdays from 6pm to midnight.
Highlights include the Moonlit Blossom, made with jasmine gin, orange blossom and sparkling jasmine tea. Or, if you are looking for a mocktail, the Ivory Mist is a non-alcoholic option made with rue berry cordial and sparkling white peony tea.

5. The Invite


The modern “sex comedy” emerged in the late 1960s in the West, when such topics became acceptable for open discussion. With The Invite, actor-director Olivia Wilde (Don’t Worry Darling) updates the genre for 2026 by throwing a conventionally minded couple into a risqué situation.
Channelling the work of Woody Allen, Wilde delivers a breezy film making light of its characters’ failings, with a dry wit that provides many genuine laughs.
Wilde plays Angela, a homemaker living a suburban life in San Francisco with her husband Joe (Seth Rogen), a disillusioned music teacher. He is furious with their new upstairs neighbours, Pina (Penelope Cruz) and Hawk (Edward Norton), whose noisy sexual trysts wake him nightly at 4am.
Angela is more intrigued than irritated and, despite her husband’s protestations, invites them to dinner. The dinnertime chat gradually turns to sex, and Angela and Joe are pulled into a situation that challenges their views of sexuality – and of their marriage. Read the full review.
