With the 2019 HKT Hong Kong E-Prix is just a few days away, motor racing fever is truly gripping the city. Formula E World is a key highlight of the Allianz E-Village. Occupying a prominent spot, it offers a chance for all to connect with the future of sport – Formula E – through four unique and very different zones for in-depth exploration. The Driver Zone, Strategist Zone, Fan Zone, and E-Gen Zone will have all visitors enter full of curiosity and leave as a dedicated Formula E fan.
 

 
The highly popular Gaming Arena, which houses Formula E simulators for fans to drive around the virtual Central Harbourfront track, will see an increase to 20 simulators from eight last season. Fans are free to experience the e-game and see how they fare against others, which includes the Formula E drivers themselves! If you cannot wait till then, visit Hong Kong E-Prix title sponsor HKT’s Formula E Experiential Zone at its “io.t by HKT” concept store at ELEMENTS shopping mall, which is hosting the finale of the “Race Around Hong Kong” initiative. The programme has been touring around the city since the end of November, and if by 28 February, you have one of the four fastest recorded lap times, you will win an opportunity of a lifetime to compete against some of the Formula E drivers at the Allianz E-Village on the eve of the HKT Hong Kong E-Prix, Saturday, March 9. 
 
What’s more, iPads will be introduced at the Gaming Arena with the installation of an exciting, world’s first interactive racing, gaming, and viewing experience. ‘Virtually Live – Ghost Racing’ allows users to race against real drivers in real races – live. Participants will be able to test their skills against some of the best Formula E drivers in the world.
 
A big screen with live feed of the track will ensure no one in the E-Village misses a single beat of the action from the Qualifying Race to the Hong Kong E-Prix at 4pm. There are plenty of Instagrammable opportunities with the drivers too as autograph sessions and the post-race podium celebrations all take place at the E-Village. Never experienced a champagne shower before? This is the place to be!
 
The 2019 Hong Kong E-Prix is an all-day event with E-Village accessible from 7am to 6pm and the Taste Zone is where you need to go to stay energised. The Formula E gastronomic journey will include favourites like UTRON, PizzaExpress, Zuver x Sichuan Delicacy, Mr. Cart, Snowy, XTC Gelato, Candy Corner. Sustainability is the name of the game across the ABB FIA Formula E Championship, and here in Hong Kong, one of the green initiatives at the Taste Zone is the free-for-all water pouches on offer so you can help us reduce plastic use. Simply take it everywhere with you, refill at the Allianz Hydration Stations around the venue, and drink from it all day long!
 

 
Younger members of the family can also make a day of it at the E-Village. Beyond Formula E World, where youngsters can get a glimpse of what their world will be like as they reach adulthood, they can enjoy leisurely activities such as face painting, giant games and an obstacle course designed just for them at the Kids Zone. Budding motor racing drivers out there can also take a step closer to their dream by having their Caricatures drawn and superimposed on the body of Formula E driver, in full race suit!
 
Still have energy? Then head to Stage Zone to feel the rhythm of the dynamic urban street performers SeaBiscuit, and marvel at the mesmerising performances by modern Kung Fu artists.
