“We are helping to build a cleaner China with lower carbon emission levels,” says Ann Lin, vice-president for corporate development and corporate secretary of Changfeng Energy.

Changfeng Energy has a 30-year exclusive concession right to deliver and sell natural gas to approximately 245,000 homes and businesses in Sanya city starting in 2003. Last year, Changfeng Energy deepened its commitment to the city when it collaborated with the Sanya municipal government to pursue an integrated smart energy project for the city. The 30-year project entails harnessing solar, wind, ocean and other energy sources. The joint venture will also provide customers with piped-in hot water, air conditioning and other related services.

“We will provide our customers everything so they do not need to worry about anything,” Lin says. “The energy system that we will develop for each area will also be tailored to the kind of energy sources available locally so end users will be able to realise significant cost savings.”

Changfeng Energy has been a publicly traded company on the Toronto Stock Exchange since 2008 and has been dedicated to serving its customers and creating value for its shareholders. Technology companies will also find collaboration with Changfeng Energy a rewarding opportunity given the company’s utmost regard for integrity, professionalism and safety. The company boasts a zero-accident record throughout its 15 years of operation in Sanya.

“We never limit ourselves from having more partners,” Lin says. “China is an amazing market and we will be happy to explore it with other companies.”
