Happy Lucky Dragon Win | An intra-stable rivalry for the ages looms with Moore pair
There’s less than two weeks until International Day, but after two potential superstars flexed their muscles at Sha Tin it’s hard not to look past that for a moment and talk about what could be an epic four-year-old series, one where John Moore could hold all the aces.

Can we just get the Turf World Championships over with already? Of course we are as excited as anyone about the upcoming equine extravaganza, but yesterday at Sha Tin certainly set the stage for next year’s Derby and lead-up races.

What makes this potential Hong Kong clash unique is that Moore trains the top two contenders. You could make it three, even, with Flagship Shine looking a likely candidate too, especially in the shorter Hong Kong Classic Mile.
Still Flagship Shine might be a step behind his stablemates and seems to be getting the red-headed stepson treatment from Moore. Flagship Shine has been given a funny preparation taking him from first-up 1,600m, back to 1,400m and a big weight (where he admittedly won second-up), where he’ll find himself again come the Class One show-off handicap on International Day.
