As its name implies, the Dog or Darling programme tells users whether to buy shares in an IPO.

Former CNBC presenter Mark Laudi established Investor Central in 2006. During his time with CNBC he anchored and produced hundreds of programmes about Southeast Asian stocks.

Laudi said companies going for a stock market listing disclosed skeletons in their closet, but these details were often buried in the lengthy prospectus.

"We trawl through hundreds of pages of the prospectus, to highlight those parts which are critically important, but which people rarely read about in the newspaper," he said.
