A company linked to CSI Properties chairman and founder Mico Chung and his wife has sold a luxury house on The Peak for HK$105 million (US$13.4 million), according to official records.
Aqua Sole Company sold the property at 27 Plantation Road to Hu Hanyang in a transaction completed on June 12, according to Land Registry records. Companies Registry filings show that Chung and his wife, Nina Kan Souk-yin, are shareholders of Aqua Sole.
The company acquired the property in 1993 for HK$12 million, the records show.
According to property agents’ listings, the 3,120 sq ft house comes with a garden and a parking space. The transaction valued the property at HK$33,654 per square foot in one of Hong Kong’s most exclusive residential neighbourhoods.
Chung and Kan are the latest among Hong Kong’s wealthy and high-profile residents to cash out of the city’s luxury housing market.
In May, actors Nick Cheung and William Chan also sold high-end homes, according to official records.
Cheung, who won best actor awards for Beast Stalker in 2008 and Unbeatable in 2013, sold his flat at Grenville House in Mid-Levels for HK$132 million. The buyers were identified in Land Registry records as Lee Yuen Ann Geoffery and Xu Ranying, with the transaction completed on May 15.
Cheung purchased the four-bedroom, 3,366 sq ft flat in 2017 for HK$131 million. The latest sale valued the property at HK$39,216 per square foot, according to property agents.

Meanwhile, actor and singer William Chan sold a 1,040 sq ft unit at The Pavilia Hill in North Point for HK$26.28 million, or HK$25,269 per square foot, according to Centaline Property Agency. Chan bought the three-bedroom unit, which includes a terrace, in 2015.
Chan rose to fame as a singer after releasing his first solo album in 2008 and later served as a style ambassador for Italian luxury fashion house Ermenegildo Zegna in 2019.
Chung’s CSI Properties owns and manages about 2 million sq ft of prime commercial property across Hong Kong, Shanghai and Macau. Around 500,000 sq ft was located in Central, including assets such as LL Tower, Central Crossing and DL Tower, according to the company’s website.
Its residential arm, Couture Homes, developed the luxury project Dukes Place in Jardine’s Lookout.
In May, CSI sold a 49.9 per cent stake in Action Soar Investments, which owns two Brisbane office properties comprising 35,649 square metres (383,726 sq ft) of net lettable space and 157 parking bays on a 2,544 square metre site.
The stake was sold for A$29.94 million (US$21.18 million), according to a filing with the Hong Kong stock exchange. CSI retained a 6.16 per cent interest in the company after the transaction.
As of September last year, CSI’s total borrowings stood at about HK$8.6 billion, down from HK$9.23 billion six months earlier, according to its interim report filed in December. The group’s debt-to-assets ratio was 37.3 per cent.
