Mario Calabresi has spent over 25 years working as a journalist. He started his career as a
political reporter for ANSA (Italian news agency) in the Italian Parliament. In 2000 he moved to the political desk of La Repubblica for 1 year and then made the move to La Stampa in Rome where he covered political as well as international issues. He spent two months in New York covering the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks. After this he again joined La Repubblica but now in the role of Deputy Managing Director. In 2009 he became the Editor-in-Chief of La Stampa and in 2016 he moved back again to La Repubblica, but this time as Editor-in-Chief. He was on the board of the World Editorial Forum (WEF) for five years and he worked with the Trust Project since its foundation. He is a well-known writer and has written six books. Currently he focuses on writing, public speaking and a newsletter he launched.
