Lance Little

Lance Little became the head of region, Asia Pacific, for Roche Diagnostics in 2012. Prior to that, he was the managing director of Roche Diagnostics India, where he was also head of the wider Indian sub-region. He graduated from Auckland University of Technology with a degree in Medical Laboratory Science with specialisation in clinical biochemistry. He currently sits on the Board of the Asia Pacific Medical Technology Association (APACMed).

Understanding why Asians forgo or ignore their health needs must go beyond the scientific and commercial to encompass the cultural and behavioural aspects. Effective patient engagement is key to better outcomes.

The digitalisation of health care using internet of things technologies helps manage outbreaks and strengthens preparedness. Its use in the broader health care system can reduce health care professionals’ burden and build resilience.
