Herman Cappelen

Herman Cappelen is chair professor of philosophy at the University of Hong Kong and director of the AI & Humanity Lab. Professor Cappelen holds a BA from the University of Oxford and a PhD in philosophy from UC Berkeley. He is the author of 13 books and over 60 academic papers. Before joining HKU, he was associate professor at the University of Oxford, a professor at the University of St. Andrews, and a professor at the University of Oslo.
