David Adelman

David Adelman served as US Ambassador to Singapore from 2010-2013. He is a partner in the global law firm Reed Smith LLP, based in New York, regularly working from the firm’s office in Asia. He is an adjunct professor at New York University where he teaches international relations and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He is also a trustee of the National Committee on American Foreign Policy.

The rhetoric of the past few years has fuelled a decidedly anti-China sentiment in the US and, if elected, Joe Biden will probably adhere to tough-on-China policies. But at least he would work with Beijing constructively on global issues like climate change.
