Claudia Astarita is a lecturer at Sciences Po Paris and an associate researcher at the Institut d’Asie Orientale (IAO), Lyon. She earned her PhD in social sciences, specialising in Asian Studies, from the University of Hong Kong. Her primary research areas include the political and economic development of China, India and Japan; Chinese, Indian and Japanese foreign policies; East Asian regionalism and regional economic integration, civil society, media, historical narratives, propaganda, and memory in Asia.
