Asia's largest houseware fair and a home textile fair are showcasing their most exciting range of innovative products and services to date, and drawing enthusiastic buyers from across the globe. The HKTDC Hong Kong Houseware Fair and Hong Kong International Home Textiles and Furnishings Fair, on until Monday at the Convention and Exhibition Centre, traditionally offer an abundance of sourcing opportunities with thousands of home-related products.
'The increase in affluence of people all over the world is leading to ever greater demand for finer home furnishings and fabrics that emphasise fashion and luxury,' says a fair spokesman. 'The HKTDC Hong Kong International Home Textiles and Furnishings Fair is the ideal platform for exhibitors to meet this rising demand for sophisticated and stylish high quality fabrics and furnishings.'
The fair is the only specialised trading showcase for home textiles and furnishings to take place in Asia during the peak sourcing season. New exhibitors featuring interesting products include Wallpaper Mall of Hong Kong, ZYD from the mainland, EcoSleep Australia of Australia, and Jayanita of India.
This year, the Home Textiles and Furnishings Fair presents 220 exhibitors from eight countries and regions, including Australia, Bangladesh, Belgium and Taiwan, showcasing their exotic styles and craftsmanship. Group pavilions are from the mainland and India, both are areas known for their thriving textile and furnishings industries.
The textiles arm of the event is dedicated to the fabrics used for interior decoration, and the premium section, the Hall of Glamour, showcases top-of-the-range home furnishings, household textiles and branded items. Other major product categories include Upholstery & Furnishing, Window Fashion & Accessories, Baby/Bathroom/Bedroom/Kitchen Textiles, and Carpet & Floor Coverings. New is the Window Fashion & Accessories category which presents a wide range in curtains, blinds and accessories for functional and decorative purposes.
The fair provides buyers with a double sourcing opportunity, thanks to it being staged concurrently with the acclaimed Hong Kong Houseware Fair - Asia's top event of its kind, which last year attracted more than 2,000 exhibitors and more than 24,000 buyers.
