Pop-rockers RubberBand happy to kill time with some fancy footwork on their phones
Busy promoting their fourth studio album, Dedicated To..., pop-rockers RubberBand managed to find time on Tuesday after shooting a music video overnight to talk about their next favourite thing after music - video games.
At the launch of Sony Ericsson's Xperia Play at Langham Place, singer Mau Hou-cheong (pictured second right, next to Clement Fung Ting-ching, far right) lost track of the questions being asked by the master of ceremonies as he was absorbed in his new toy - the world's first PlayStation-certified smartphone.
Drummer Lai Man-wang (left) explained the band's indulgence.
'When we're not working, or during the long wait in between jobs, we always play Fifa [the football game],' he said. 'It's the best way to kill time.'
The new smartphone is pitched as a key rival to Apple's iPhone. Besides the other things an expensive phone can do, the Xperia can also be used to play games with just a swipe of the touch screen to reveal a control panel resembling that of PlayStation's gaming console.
Asked if they were worried about privacy issues in the event they lost their phones, bassist Lee Siu-wai (second left) said: 'I have taken some preventive measures, such as disguising the names of my celebrity friends.'
