Fifth new sub-branch opened

Bank of East Asia (China) yesterday opened its fifth 'cross-location' sub-branch in Jiangmen City, Guangdong province, to enhance its network in the Pearl River Delta. The Jiangmen sub-branch provides comprehensive yuan and foreign currency banking services to all customers. It followed the opening of four other sub-branches in Foshan, Zhongshang, Huizhou and Zhaoqing, which opened in the last 13 months after the relaxation of regulations in 2009 under the CEPA arrangements.
