Zeus

The king of the gods rules over Mount Olympus. He is god of the sky and thunder. He is normally pictured on his throne or walking with a thunderbolt in his hand. He has many, many children.

Perseus

One of Zeus' sons, Perseus was brought up on an island among fishermen. As a young man he was given the challenge of hunting down Medusa, a female monster whose hair is made of snakes. He did this with some helpful gifts from the gods and his own quick thinking.

He married Andromeda, queen of women, after saving her from a sea monster, and founded the city of Mycenae.
