Magazine admits picture was obscene

Three Weekly and the magazine's former editor-in-chief, Ngai Sze-hoi, pleaded guilty in Eastern Court yesterday to one count of publishing obscene articles after naked photos of pop-star Carina Lau Ka-ling, with her face blurred, were printed on the front page and inside pages of an edition in 2002. Acting principal magistrate Bina Chainrai adjourned the case to February 23 after the defence lawyer asked for time to prepare a plea for leniency.
