One of the world's largest consumer packaging companies is seeking a high-calibre candidate to join a lean enterprise and add value as it experiences business growth in Asia.
Rexam Plastic Packaging Asia is on the lookout for a regional manager - based in Shanghai - to effectively leverage lean manufacturing across assigned locations and achieve synergy savings.
The ideal candidate should have seven to 10 years of experience in a relevant project management, quality and production management or manufacturing role, and hold a bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical or business discipline.
Working know-how on how to drive operational knowledge is required because the incumbent will drive development and deployment of programmes that are conducive to a culture which eliminates waste, improves cycle time, reduces variations, eliminates defects and improves the relationship with customers throughout all value processes.
Exceptional communication and influential skills are a must as the regional manager will engage with stakeholders, and mentor and develop site-level lean champions or co-ordinators to that of a leadership role.
The candidate will track and account for the budget and key performance indicator trends to ensure that targets are met and best practices are identified and shared across the company.
