Applicants are being sought to build relationships at a senior level as a trusted business partner. A major information and communication technology services provider is seeking a network consultant.
Wharf T&T strictly focuses on enabling its customers' businesses through proficient domain know-how and quality communications and technology solutions.
'The incumbent will perform two dynamic roles, one related to technical and business consulting for clients and the other focusing on strategies for this organisation,' Wharf T&T vice-president, human resources Florence Cheung, said.
The successful recruit would be required to support the expanding business of complex solution demand and manage new business opportunities to achieve sustainable growth. 'You will provide analysis and optimum insights and clarify technical and business issues,' Ms Cheung said. 'You should also provide advantages to your organisation by executing winning strategies.'
The role offers varied and challenging assignments, ranging from partnering with the sales team to designing and demonstrating solutions to clients. Network troubleshooting, project management and implementation are also par for the course. 'Your involvement will depend on your experience and knowledge,' Ms Cheung said. 'Those who are less experienced may not initially participate in large projects, but will do so one day,' she said.
Although project sizes vary, the successful candidate will usually lead  teams of two to three engineers.
The ideal candidate would have a degree in computer science and at least five years' experience. Top notch technical know-how, for example on voice and data integration and Cisco networks, is also essential. Applicants should be confident in working with senior decision makers and keen to help drive  business results.
