Swire extends orchestra sponsorship

Property developer Swire has extended its sponsorship of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra for another three years, until 2012. Swire, which offered a HK$36 million, three-year sponsorship to the orchestra in 2006, said it would offer another sponsorship of a similar amount beginning in April that might be adjusted for inflation. The orchestra is among nine major performing arts groups sponsored by the Home Affairs Bureau.
