Man in court over thrown bottle
A 27-year-old man, surnamed Lin, will appear in Kowloon City Court today charged with common assault and assault occasioning actual bodily harm after he allegedly threw a bottle that hit pop idol Fiona Sit Hoi-kei during a Mong Kok charity event on Saturday.
Maid dies after collapsing
A 51-year-old domestic helper died an hour after she collapsed in a toilet in a flat at Discovery Park, Tsuen Wan, at about 8.40am yesterday. Her employer, 48, called police when she found the maid, surnamed Deliquiano, in the toilet. Deliquiano was declared dead at Yan Chai Hospital. Police said the case was not suspicious.
2,600 jobs on offer at fair
A job fair will be held at Kingswood Ginza, Tin Shui Wai, today and tomorrow, with 23 firms offering more than 2,600 positions, including manager, shop supervisor, shop sales, customer service officer, clerk, cashier and warehouse assistant and salaries up to HK$10,000 a month.
Four men arrested over brawl
Four men were arrested after a fight in Sha Tin. The fight occurred after a woman, 24, told her boyfriend, 40, she had been sexually assaulted. He started fighting with the man she accused and two of his friends.

A man, 73, fishing alone in Ma On Shan died after falling into the sea.
Injured hiker helped by friends
A man had to be carried out of Ma On Shan Country Park after he was injured by a large falling rock during a hike with friends on Ngau Ngak Shan. Fog prevented a rescue by the Government Flying Service.
Three hurt in street attack
Three men aged between 25 and 29 were attacked by a gang of six men in Austin Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, at about 3am. They were admitted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Man dies after being hit by truck
A 74-year-old man died in United Christian Hospital last night after being hit by a truck while crossing Lei Yue Mun Road, Kwun Tong, at 11.30am.
