The 11th  electronicAsia,  held concurrently with the Hong Kong Electronics Fair 2007 (Autumn Edition), will showcase the latest in the trade.
Truly Semiconductors  has been attending electronicAsia since the fair's inception.
The company's state-of-the-art production lines manufacture  liquid-crystal display (LCD) units and one-touch panel products.
It also manufactures  full-colour organic light emitting diode (LED) modules.
The company's list of clients includes Eastman Kodak.
Spokesman Murphy Cheung Wing-cheung  said he believed that the fair helped the company penetrate markets it would not otherwise have a chance to.
'Apart from some major markets such as the United States, Europe, South Korea and Japan, the company is also working on smaller markets such as Eastern Europe, South America and the subcontinent,' Mr Cheung said.
Exhibitor Man Yue Electronics,  a listed company, specialises in aluminium electrolytic capacitors and thrives on the fast-growing  electronic gadgetry sector.
'We design photo-flash capacitors for digital cameras. One in every three mobile phone battery chargers in the world contains products made by us,' chief executive Chan Ho-sing  said.
Mr Chan said his company's participation in the fair was more for meeting existing clients and stakeholders to strengthen relations.
However, the event would also  help push the company's  line of technological products, including double-layer capacitors - a new type of capacitor that would be used as energy storage devices in electrical or electronic products such as electric cars, solar energy panels and windmill generators.
'This product is going to have a very promising market growth and may replace the function of a battery in certain electrical or electronic products,' Mr Chan said. LEDs will also be displayed at the fair and they will be more energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
Philips Electronics Hong Kong  will display its PrideLED.
Launched in 2004, the series has since evolved and the latest upgrade features LUXEON Rebel  technology, which is believed to be   the smallest surface mountable power LED available.
It has the  industry's best lumens per package - the highest number of lumens per square millimetre and the highest packing density.
Dakki Tam,  senior product marketing officer at Philips Light Factory Hong Kong (which is under the umbrella of Philips Electronics Hong Kong),  said: 'These new products are suitable for space-constrained applications.'
The company will demonstrate how the technology can be applied to commonly used items such as vehicle head lights and torches.
Exhibitor Surface Mount Technology (Holdings) chairman Chan Kei-biu  said the company would use the fair to promote its services: assembly technology,  electronic manufacturing services (EMS) and its green manufacturing programme.
'We provide EMS for a variety of electronic market sectors. The mainland is a huge and strong domestic market.
'Demand for motor vehicles and consumer electronics will be growing rapidly in the near future,' Professor Chan said.
