The ever-expanding Igor's Group is in hiring mode, and experience is not always necessary
THE RESTAURANT BUSINESS is booming in Hong Kong, and diners looking for new gastronomical delights have a wide variety of cuisine to choose from.
But this has not always been the case. A decade ago, customers in search of western food had to go to a restaurant in a good hotel to find what they wanted. Now, there are many restaurants that offer good-quality western food.
The Igor's Group set the tone in 1998 when it opened its first outlet. Since then, the number of its outlets have multiplied to 21, making it one of the most established western restaurant chains in Hong Kong.
And the company is still expanding. It opened seven outlets last year, and five projects are under way.
'Overall, we are looking for people in all areas,' said Linda Kwan, marketing director of Igor's Group. Apart from restaurant staff, the group needs a wide range of professionals in administration, accounting, marketing, PR and even graphic design.
