Everyone has his or her own obsession. In John and Helen Taylor's case, it's breaking records.
The Australian couple, brought to town this week by Shell, also have a passion for saving fuel. They made Guinness World Records in 2002 by driving 2,348km on a single, standard tank of fuel. In April they made a 78-day journey through 25 countries with a record of 22.2km per litre.
The couple hold no fewer than 35 fuel-related records.
'Many people don't know this yet - driving economically is also a safer way of driving,' said Helen.
John thinks it is important to save your money, save the environment, but more importantly - save your life.
'[This time] it excites me to know that we're able to do 60 per cent better than what the scientists are telling us,' said John, who has suffered from two near-fatal diseases and understands how precious life can be. 'The [diseases] changed my life. Every day I think to myself, today might be my last day on the planet, so I have to live it to the best.'
