The search for the perfect timepiece can be gruelling, particularly given Hong Kong's obsession with the latest and priciest must-haves. For those in search of something more nostalgic, however, you can literally step back in time at second-hand watch store Oldtique. The shop buys and sells a wide variety of old and used watches, from Panerai to Cartier. But it is the offerings in Oldtique's Rolex collection that sport the fatter price tags: a Rolex Explorer from the 1970s, for example, costs HK$95,000. The shop also houses a display cabinet stuffed with curios and collectables from bygone days, such as an old manual-dial telephone, priced at HK$2,600. The items may not be new, but they come with the mystique of times past and intrigue surrounding the identity of their previous owners.
