Where? The Best Shop is  in the centre of the German capital's busy Berlin-Mitte district, where  many of the city's trendy shops, clubs and bars are.

Who? Since  its opening in 2004, Best Shop has become known as a one-stop destination for fashion and lifestyle items. Sumi Ha, the store's owner, has created a retail-therapy hotspot that is also a creative place where people can meet and exchange ideas.

All the labels stocked distinguish themselves through their innovative designs.

Vibe:  bright colours give the store a warm, modern ambience. It is structured but still cosy  and welcoming.

The crowd: the shop has many customers prepared to travel from as far afield as Scandinavia, Japan and Britain.  Clients are seeking more than fashion; they are looking for an urban style with vision and individuality.

Extras:  accessories include shoes and jewellery, and there are  fashion and lifestyle magazines, design books and electronic music for sale. Ha has helped put Berlin on the fashion map. She  frequently organises fashion tradeshows for cutting-edge and high-fashion  streetwear,  offering a professional platform from which emerging talent  and internationally renowned designers can present  their creations in a relaxed,  personal environment.
