With digital technology so dominant these days, it's rare to see someone showing off their holiday snaps in print form. They're more likely to offer you an on-screen slide show, complete with musical soundtrack, on a laptop. Luckily, for those who are unwilling to attach sentimental feelings to megabytes, a slew of new Kodak booths has made it quick and convenient to obtain hard copies of your memories.

These self-service booths accept digital photos from almost any medium - CDs, Bluetooth and infrared devices, five kinds of memory card and even floppy disks. The touch-screen interface is user-friendly and the machines produce prints in just 11 seconds. Also available is the option of appending colourful frames to your precious moments; that picture of you standing in front of the Eiffel Tower could appear surrounded by cartoon waves, for instance. The machines are accessible but well-hidden - they can be found tucked away on the top floors of Times Square, Causeway Bay; Ocean Terminal, Tsim Sha Tsui; and APM, Kwun Tong, as well as in Kodak stores. Prints cost from HK$2 (5cm x 7.5cm) and HK$3 (10cm x 15cm) each. Payment is by Octopus card only.
