Photographs of convicted Queensland drugs smuggler Schapelle Corby, pictured with a man arrested for allegedly trafficking cannabis, have been seized by Australian police.
The snaps were taken before Corby was charged with importing 4.1kg of marijuana into Bali last October, for which she received a 20-year prison term, later reduced to 15 years.
They were discovered when detectives raided the South Australian home of an alleged marijuana smuggler.
The chance find happened during a joint police operation involving officers from South Australia and Queensland to bust an alleged trafficking ring between the two Australian states.
The photographs, if genuine, could seriously damage Corby's hopes of a successful appeal against her prison sentence.
Balinese prosecution sources said they wanted the Australian authorities to give them copies of the pictures in a bid to bolster their case for an increase in the 28-year-old woman's sentence.
