Sailing towards an exiting future

My secondary school graduation ceremony took place a few weeks ago. It was a moment to remember.

Former chief secretary Anson Chan Fang On-sang was the guest speaker at the event. She delivered a speech that was touching and inspiring.

The most memorable things she said were: 'The greatest mistake is the mistake that you repeat' and 'the greatest challenge is the challenge that you don't even attempt to face'.

How very true. Everybody makes mistakes, but we shouldn't dwell on them and feel regretful.

Focus on the future and change your thoughts that start with 'If only I did ...'

to 'I will ...'

When you do this, you set yourself a goal to achieve and adopt a mindset that stops you from repeating mistakes.
