ICBC Asia in US$96m acquisition

Stanley Wong, a director and deputy general manager of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Asia), says the acquisition of Chinese Mercantile Bank will be completed next month.

ICBC Asia shareholders approved the US$96.06 million deal yesterday. It will buy 75 per cent of the bank from parent ICBC and 25 per cent from Citic Ka Wah.
