No customer is too demanding for a team that believes in the old-fashioned values in salesmanship
Mobile phone operator Hong Kong CSL has five reasons to celebrate at the Distinguished Salespersons Awards (DSA) ceremony this year - all of its nominees scooped either a DSA or an Outstanding Young Salesperson Award.
The stiff competition in Hong Kong's overcrowded mobile-phone market, coupled with the launch in January of Hutchison Whampoa's third-generation service, have served to make the feat even more impressive.
Maggie Lee, Timothy Chan, Sara Ma, Cobie Ngai and Kristy Cheung all attribute their success to a combination of factors that have helped them stand out from the crowd.
Known for its 1010 and One2Free brands, the company focuses on the GSM mobile phone market.
Ms Lee, a corporate sales account manager, said enthusiasm and professionalism were the key to her success.
'These must come from your heart,' said Ms Lee, a DSA recipient who has been with the company for one year. 'These attributes are reflected in the salesperson's product knowledge, sincerity and honesty throughout the selling process, and also in their willingness to provide assistance at all times, no matter how demanding the customer is.'
