To say that Dubai's hotel and convention market is highly competitive is an understatement. There are always rising stars ready to challenge the more established venues and the newest kid on the block, the Grand Hyatt, also happens to be the biggest in the Middle East.

The five-star facility, billed as a city resort, opened mid-March and immediately secured a position as the largest conference and convention centre hotel in the region.

Architecturally, the hotel is cutting edge, comprising four interconnected structures, yet it reflects Arab influence through the essential crescent shape of each structure. The overall impression is one of fluidity.

To capitalise on the lucrativemeetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) market, the hotel boasts state-of-the-art conference and convention facilities that can accommodate up to 2,000 delegates in 4,340 square metres of conference space.
