Kodak has pumped out so many of these entry-level, point-and-shoot digital cameras that consumers could be forgiven for thinking that they are all the same.

The Kodak EasyShare CX6330 has many similarities to earlier models, such as LS633.

The main difference is that the CX6330 is cheaper than the LS633 because it has cheaper lenses and a smaller 1.6-inch display, compared to a 2.2-inch Organic LED display on the LS633.

Priced at just HK$2,190, this camera competes against the Sony Cybershot U series. The 3.1-megapixel model can take pictures of up to 11x14 inches at a resolution of 2032x1524 pixels. At that resolution, however, you can only squeeze in about seven shots on its internal 16-megabyte storage, though it has a slot to take SD/MMC cards for additional storage.

The CX6330 has a 3X optical zoom and, like all digital cameras these days, can capture continuous digital video. It can take longer videos, as long as you have enough storage capacity.

This is the perfect camera for your grandparents because it is so easy to use. It has large buttons, clearly labelled 'share' (for e-mail), 'review' and 'delete'. The bundled Kodak software, which allows you to do basic photo editing such as removing red-eyes, rotating or cropping pictures, is also self-explanatory.

The CX6330 works with an EasyShare printer dock 6000, which produces crisp 4x6-inch, or 4R-size, prints.
