SCMP Reporter

The Woodland Group of Pre-schools presented a $170,000 cheque to the Sunbeam Children's Foundation yesterday. The funds will be used to provide food, shelter, education and health-care for underprivileged children in the mainland. The organisation raised the money with a sponsored walk which took place at the Hong Kong Jockey Club racetrack in Happy Valley on March 24. Children and family members from the six pre-schools in the Woodland Group took part in the event. The fund-raiser attracted 750 participants.
