Light-fixture maker Bright International saw its attributable profit in the year to December 31 edge up 8.5 per cent from a year earlier to HK$81.16 million.
Turnover rose 22.4 per cent to HK$506.83 million, bolstered by increased sales in the United States, the company's largest market.
The board of directors recommended a bonus share for every two existing shares, and declared a final dividend of two HK cents.
Chairman Hsu Chen-shen said the company planned to strengthen its foothold outside the US market.
'Last year, 90.5 per cent of our turnover came from the US. But we've been working towards diversifying into Europe and Japan,' Mr Hsu said.
Compared with 1999, last year's sales to Europe increased 16 per cent and 5 per cent to Japan, he said.
