A GULFAIR steward accused of indecently assaulting a female passenger on a Hong Kong-bound flight this week has paid $10,000 bail and left the SAR.

The man was arrested after a Thai woman, arriving on flight GF152 from Bangkok on Wednesday, told police the steward had grabbed her breast during the flight.

Police witness Satya Haridoss said the woman, who spoke only Thai, had fled down the aisle in tears after the alleged incident and asked for his help in translating her complaint.

Mr Haridoss, a businessman arriving for the Hong Kong International Jewellery Fair, said he had already seen the steward assault a woman sitting beside him earlier in the flight.

'[The steward] approached the African lady passenger and used his right hand to fondle her left breast,' Mr Haridoss told police.

An hour later, the Thai woman ran down the aisle, saying the steward had grabbed her breast as she stood waiting for the washroom.
