Mahjong clamp urged

THE Fight Crime Committee is proposing tightening control over the territory's mahjong establishments by imposing additional licence conditions. Its proposals call for employees of licensed mahjong parlours to be registered and to wear identification when at work. The presence of licensed owners or their agent would also be required during business hours. The plans also call for staff of unlicensed mahjong establishments to be prohibited from playing with the customers and restricting the amount of fees charged for offering mahjong facilities.
