Toy group posts slight gain

Hong Kong Toy Centre International says net profit is up 1 per cent to $38.38 million in the year to December.

Turnover increased 19.3 per cent to $578.3 million from $484.81 million in 1994.

Operating profit before exceptional gain rose to $32.44 million from $37.42 million.

There was an exceptional profit of $5.1 million from the sale of sanitary ware and electrical appliances and decoration work performed for the joint ventures engaged in developing properties in China.
