The Land Development Corporation has identified more than 40 urban renewal projects in the territory, according to chairman Lau Wah-sum.
Mr Lau said the projects, spread throughout Hong Kong, were in poor condition and needed to be redeveloped.
The chairman said the Government had recently mapped out an urban renewal plan of the territory's obsolete and deteriorating buildings, covering 80 hectares. Of these the corporation had earmarked 40 projects for redevelopment.

Mr Lau warned that some of these projects might not go ahead.
Mr Lau suggested the government adopt the corporation's proposal, linking financially viable projects with non-viable projects.
