From Aceh in the west to Papua in the east, Indonesia is the largest archipelagic state in the world. Its roughly 18,000 islands along the Indian Ocean present an intricate challenge for any logistics company. With a foothold across the whole value chain, home-grown Gama Group offers one of the most integrated and cost-effective transport solutions for companies moving their goods in and out of Indonesia.

"Through an expansive network of complementary companies, we're able to deliver safe, on-time and quality port and logistics services that our clients have come to rely on," says Eli Siswondo, president of the Gama Group.

"We let our distinct culture of teamwork and friendship work for our customers' business growth."

Starting from a small international freight forwarder with only 17 employees, the company has grown into a full-service logistics company of 1,200 people. It leverages the collaboration among eight affiliated companies in covering a wide array of port and logistics services, among others.

As the group's international freight forwarding arm, affiliate Gama Intisamudera ensures prompt delivery of items of all sizes to the consignee's doorstep. It offers a complete spectrum of services, which includes project cargo handling and customs clearance. Gama Intisamudera is behind many large-scale operations such as the ConocoPhillips project in Palembang and the Wilmar Nabati undertaking in Gresik.

Clients working with the Gama Group also save on time and money as they deal with only one provider for all other related services.

The company provides a comprehensive range of ancillary offerings, from container hauling and stevedoring to contract work for electrical, mechanical and engineering projects. Its affiliate Kuda Intisamudera provides operation, maintenance and supply of heavy equipment such as rubber-tyred gantry cranes, reach stackers, trucks and forklifts.
