AMT weaves partnerships to meet overseas textile demands

AMT is a subsidiary of Argo Manunggal Group, a diversified business organisation holding 20 companies under its textile division. "AMT is a well-established, vertically integrated company producing only the finest-quality textiles," says group chairman The Ning King. "From fibre specifications to designs and finished apparels, our products reflect comfort, protection and functionality."

AMT has 18 factories around Jakarta and West and Central Java. It manufactures more than 100 million metres of fabric per year, with a capacity of 685,430 spindles and a total production of 69,000 bales per month. Argo Pantes, a major division of AMT, is the main fabric producer of Argo Workwear, AMT's fabric brand.

Argo Workwear uses American and Australian cotton and superior polyester fibres in creating technical workwear and corporate wear. Equipped with modern sewing machines from Italy and Japan, its fabrics are tested to European quality levels. Clients for Argo Workwear include Sanpoh and Toray from Japan, and Engelbert Strauss from Britain.

A trusted regional partner, AMT forged a joint venture with Klopman International, Europe's leading manufacturer of workwear fabrics, to serve Klopman's clients globally.
