The action-packed trailer shows one of the city’s iconic, green passenger-boats being sucked into the air as giant robots hover over the harbour.

Actor Mark Wahlberg and director Michael Bay spent 10 days shooting scenes for the movie in Hong Kong in October.

Special effects experts have since made the film come alive, populating the streets and skies with Autobots doing battle with their enemies.

The film crew’s 10-day visit to Hong Kong wasn’t without incident.

During shooting for one scene in Quarry Bay, director Michael Bay was attacked with an air conditioner, in what the film studio described as a “bizarre encounter”, with a man attempting to blackmail the crew for HK$100,000.
