"We aspire to create the infinite future of electronics with a clear sense of improvement and innovation," says Shuichi Katsuyama, Rubycon president and chief operating officer.

The company's latest innovation in light-emitting diode (LED) lighting is an aluminium electrolytic capacitor that lasts up to 20,000 hours at 105 degrees Celsius. This service life is the longest so far reached in LED lighting.

Rubycon has 70 per cent of the global supply of capacitors for photo flash equipment. It is a top supplier in the LED lighting, automotive, home appliances and industrial equipment segments.

Among some 5,000 customers worldwide that rely on Rubycon are global brands such as Panasonic, Sony, Canon and Toyota. Taiwan's Delta Electronics, Lite-on Technology and Germany's Siemens and Bosch are also major overseas clients.

With its proven track record for durability and high quality, Rubycon's capacitors have come to greater use in power generation, especially in Europe's wind and solar energy systems. Rubycon is eyeing a greater role in the mainland's energy modernisation with its power capacitors. With heat resistance and low noise levels that far exceed industry standards, polymer multilayer capacitors also have great potential in the automotive, medical and lighting industries.
