ADA takes spotlight on global stage
Discovery Reports
An aircraft operations heavyweight in its native UAE, Abu Dhabi Aviation (ADA) is poised to take centre stage on the world market.
"It is time to start exporting our experience to countries outside the UAE," says chairman Nadir Al Hammadi. "It's part of our long-term strategy to grow even further."
ADA brings 35 years of accumulated expertise in supporting the region's offshore oil and gas industry to its overseas operations. Its services include assisting construction projects, fire fighting and rescue efforts, and seismic surveys for oil discovery.
ADA's experience has been integral to providing dedicated service to aid oil exploration and recovery for the El-Bunduq oil field, an offshore collaboration between Abu Dhabi and Qatar. This gave rise to ADA's 25-year relationship with United Petroleum Development Company, a consortium of three Japanese oil companies and the major shareholder in the project.
Owning 95 per cent of Maximus Air and 50 per cent of private jet charterer and operator Royal Jet, ADA continues to build on its service offerings and enhance its partnerships.
ADA also has a joint venture with Mubadala Aerospace to set up an advanced flight training centre in Abu Dhabi scheduled to be operational next year. The centre features a full-flight simulator for the AgustaWestland AW139 helicopter.
