Dynamic JLW brings legacy to emirates' contracting industry
Discovery Reports
The UAE's vibrant construction industry demands equally dynamic contracting service providers that can support the region's rapid growth. With more than 130 years of experience, Australia's most respected mechanical services contractor James L Williams (JLW) brings not only world-class expertise but also a legacy of commitment.
Focusing on mechanical, electrical and plumbing services, the company established its presence in the UAE in 2008 through JLW Middle East. "Since 2008, we have nearly doubled our turnover, even through the global financial crisis," says JLW Middle East CEO Michael Boufarhat. "We made it possible by thoroughly understanding the Middle East and finding our niche - while applying the same business principles we have in Australia and globally."
JLW has completed projects for Abu Dhabi's Dalma Mall and Dubai's Nad Al Hamar Health Center, and has continuing works at the iconic City of Lights and Burjeel Hospital in Abu Dhabi. It works closely with local and international contractors and developers, including Brookfield Multiplex, Al Fajer and Tamouh.
Broadening its footprint in the UAE, JLW is slated to begin operations in Saudi Arabia, where it aims to take part in the market's growing green construction industry.
"Our strength is in our ability to take on technically challenging projects," Boufarhat says. "We'll continue to diversify and provide value-added services to match the Middle East's ever-changing landscape."
As it expands, JLW will continue leveraging its presence in Hong Kong and on the mainland, where it can easily source products for its UAE operations. It is also open to partnering with companies throughout Asia that are as aggressive and motivated to explore Saudi Arabia.
