He's got the shades and a convertible to match, but who will Aaron Kwok be taking for a ride?

Canto-pop star Aaron Kwok Fu-shing talked about his new sunglasses, his new car and who its passengers might be on Wednesday at a cocktail party thrown by Austrian sunglass-maker Carrera.

He adores his new Carrera Champion sunglasses, made of Optyl, the brand's patented material known for being lightweight, non-allergenic and heat resistant.

Besides sunglasses, Kwok loves cars and decided to treat himself to a new one as a birthday present. (He turns 47 in October.) The car, of which he did not reveal specifics, has not been delivered yet to join the other supercars in his garage, but it's his first convertible.

'I felt like rewarding myself with a convertible after a very tiring few months of film shooting,' said Kwok, who will resume filming in Beijing soon after the event. 'The great feeling of wind blowing in my face sold me.'

Amid all the rumours circulating about his relationship with model Lynn Xiong Dailin, Kwok said the person who sat next to him in his car was not an issue.

'A gentleman would not mind giving his friends a ride,' he said.
